Our vision for volunteering…
Volunteers have been an integral part of ARC since the organization was established in 1979. ARC is committed to connecting dedicated individuals with meaningful opportunities to use their talents to impact change.
While we do have regular, ongoing volunteer needs, we also want to hear from you. What is your passion? What are your ideas? What skills and expertise might you lend to our mission?
Where can I volunteer?
ARC accepts volunteers/interns for our Headquarters office in Minneapolis, as well as our overseas locations.
What is ARC looking for?
ARC looks for volunteers/interns across each of our departments including International Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Fundraising/Events, and Government Affairs.
We also want to hear your ideas and work directly with you on creating new opportunities.
What kind of time commitment do you need?
We have part-time, full-time, one-time, and on-call options for volunteers. On average, most volunteers at our HQ complete a 2-4 month commitment, volunteering anywhere from 5-20 hours per week. However, there are many who come in less frequently to help with other projects and events as needed.
For international volunteers, we require a commitment of at least 4-6 months.
Can I receive credit for my internship?
Some past volunteers have received credit for their internships. This is something we coordinate on a case-by-case basis with the intern and their institution.
How do I get started?
